SA Athletics Stadium

SA Athletics Stadium offers a comprehensive and modern athletics facility and FIFA sized quality turf pitch for soccer and other turf related sports. Located only 10 minutes drive from the Adelaide CBD, the athletics facility offers a national standard nine lane running track and field complex including training and warm-up areas, lighting, photo finish and modern timing equipment.

SA Athletics Stadium is owned and operated by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, an agency of the Government of South Australia.

Overview

The SA Athletics Stadium is home to the local athletics community and available to all South Australians. With over 500,000 visitations per year, the Stadium hosts national athletic events, state league soccer and hundreds of school carnivals and sports days every year.

The Stadium is available for hire and hosts a range of events and functions.

Athletics SA currently holds the licence agreement to operate all catering and the club liquor licence at the Stadium.

The SA Athletics Stadium is a cashless venue.

Access

Times

  • The Stadium office is open Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
  • Bookings are required to access the stadium outside of these hours – contact the stadium office

Parking

  • Onsite car parking is available for 500 cars.
  • The adjacent Priceline Stadium (formerly Netball SA stadium) has a further 700 car parks.
  • Bus drop off point at entrance.

Athletics training at the Stadium is available on a casual basis or purchase a training pass for extended periods. Information regarding training times, costs and venue hire can be obtained by contacting the Stadium Operations Officer (Ph 08 8152 0355) or ORSR.Facilities@sa.gov.au

Schools sports days

The Stadium hosts hundreds of school sports days and interschool events, providing an opportunity for many South Australian children to experience participating at a national class stadium.

Conference & corporate facilities

The Function room accommodates conferences from 10 to 60 people depending on room setup. The Function room is fully air-conditioned and has impressive views across the track towards Adelaide CBD. Equipment available includes electronic projector, data projector, screen, flip chart and electronic whiteboard.

The Boardroom can accommodate up to 15 people for meetings with views across the track towards Adelaide CBD.

Catering is available through Athletics SA (Ph 08 8354 3477).

Bookings are essential and should be directed to the Stadium Operations Officer (Ph 8152 0355).
